In Kazakhstan, work has been carried out to expand the medical rehabilitation infrastructure, with the number of such institutions amounting to 838. Their funding has increased 13-fold over the past five years. Over 208,000 patients fully received rehabilitation services in 2023. The Modernization of Rural Healthcare national project is underway, providing for the construction of 655 medical facilities. The government is closely monitoring the issue of quality education focusing on appropriate and accessible educational infrastructure. The government fully meets all social obligations to Kazakh citizens, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Tamara Duissenova in the Mazhilis, a Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament.

«There are plans to build 369 schools under the Comfortable School national project. Last year, 36 schools were built, and this year an additional 25 will be erected using funds seized and returned as part of investigations of corruption crimes. With the Auyl – El Besigi program and local budget allocations, seven schools were built and put into operation in 2023, with plans to construct six more this year. The total amount allocated from various sources for school construction over two years amounts to 2.4 trillion tenge,» Duissenova said.

Duissenova also addressed the issue of providing quality communication and Internet access. According to her, the implementation of 5G network technology will be completed by the end of next year. This work is currently underway in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and regional centers. Over 1,000 base stations have been installed in 20 cities. A special national project has been approved for the development of the Internet industry in Kazakhstan.

«Its implementation provides for connecting optical communication lines to 3,010 villages through a public-private partnership mechanism. This initiative aims to provide Internet access to 2.4 million people,» Duissenova added.
