Large-scale festive events as part of the Nauryz
celebrations are also taking place across Kazakhstan’s regions. Baursak Fest was held in the city of Satbayev. A real
gastronomic show unfolded in the central square, where chefs prepared around
200 kilograms of dough and fried more than 10,000 baursaks. The treats were distributed to everyone as a symbol of unity, generosity, and friendship.
Residents and visitors of the city joined
in the festive atmosphere, dressing in
traditional attire. According to the organizers, Baursak Fest embodied the
spirit of Nauryz, bringing people together and filling their hearts with the
warmth of spring.
«It’s wonderful that
such an event is being held in our city. It’s truly large-scale and impressive,
and it brings us all
together. I would like to
congratulate all residents of Satbayev and all Kazakh citizens on Nauryz. Happy Nauryz!» said resident of
Satbayev city Albina Itekeyeva.
Nauryz is being celebrated in the western part of the
country as well. In Atyrau, around
5,000 residents of various ethnic groups and ages took part in National
Clothing Day. Participants dressed in traditional Kazakh garments such as camisoles and shapan robes,
expressing respect for the nation’s traditions, culture, and rich heritage. Women taking part in the procession showcased elegant
outfits made of velvet and silk, adorned with embroidery and traditional
ornaments. Their looks were complemented by traditional headwear, while men wore takiya
and fur hats, and elderly women kimesheks.
«The atmosphere is amazing. Today’s sunny weather perfectly matches the spirit of the holiday. This wonderful celebration truly reflects the spring mood of the people. It’s my first time taking part in this event, and I’m overwhelmed with indescribable emotions,» shared resident of Atyrau city Almagul Kudaibergen.
