The Constitution is the document that will define the country’s development for decades to come, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister said during a Government meeting. Chaired by Olzhas Bektenov, the meeting reviewed measures to ensure effective implementation of the country’s new Constitution, which came into force on July 1. He said this marked the beginning of a profound transformation of state and public institutions.
«The
adoption of the Basic Law reflects broad public support for a new stage of the
country’s modernization under the leadership of President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev. The new Constitution provides a solid institutional foundation for
progressive development that is measured not only by economic indicators,» Bektenov
said.
