Kazakhstan plans to implement large-scale investment
projects aimed at expanding the country's industrial potential. Astana has
emerged as the leader among regions in terms of the number of investment
initiatives, with a total of 130 projects valued at 2.5 trillion tenge. The
Karagandy region follows, with 118 announced investment projects totaling 175
billion tenge. Key initiatives include a hot-dip galvanizing plant, the
Hyperborea wind power plant, and steel pipe production facilities. In the
Ulytau region, 19 investment projects worth nearly one trillion tenge have been
approved. Funding will support the development of the Western Karazhal deposit,
construction of a sulfuric acid workshop at the Zhezkazgan copper smelter, and
the modernization of enrichment plants.
