It will be easier for the Eurasian Economic
Union (EAEU) member states to develop electronic trade in agricultural
products. The Senate, an upper house of the Kazakh Parliament, has ratified an agreement
signed between the EAEU member countries in Moscow last year. The document
regulates the issuance, circulation, and cancellation of warehouse receipts
within the EAEU, defining the main requirements for them. At the same time,
each member country will determine the types of agricultural products eligible
for these receipts according to its national legislation. In addition, the
states are obliged to provide and receive necessary information through a unified
Internet resource.
«Notably, this agreement is based on the
practice of legislative regulation of grain receipt turnover in Kazakhstan. In
general, its implementation requires no state budget funding and poses no
adverse socio-economic or legal impacts,» said Senate Member Zakirzhan Kuziyev.
