King Charles III officially proclaimed as Britain’s new monarch

King Charles III was officially proclaimed as the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated him on his accession to the throne. In his telegram, the Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan highly appreciates its enduring strategic partnership with Great Britain, resting on strong bonds of friendship, dynamic political dialogue and mutually beneficial trade and economic ties. President Tokayev firmly believes that the wide-ranging interaction in various domains will be further enhanced for the benefit of the two nations.

Funeral of Elizabeth II to be held on September 19

The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday, September 19 at Westminster Abbey in London. The Queen’s coffin has arrived in Edinburgh. Thousands of people with flowers gathered on the streets of Scottish cities, which were passed by the motorcade to pay tribute to the Queen. Mourners will be able view the coffin as it lies in state for 24 hours in St. Giles’ Cathedral before it is moved to London.
