Over 200,000 foreign tourists
visited Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2024, according to the Bureau of
National Statistics. As noted by analysts, travelers from China are showing
great interest in our country. The influx of Chinese tourists has more than
doubled - up to 25,000 people. At the same time, 18,000 guests came from India,
and 3,500 from Italy. Besides, residents of the U.S, UK, and South Korea choose
Kazakhstan as an interesting tourist direction. It is noteworthy that the
Almaty mountain cluster remains in the first place in terms of popularity among
foreign guests, who are also attracted to the beauty of the Akmola and Mangystau
regions. Overall, in just three months of this year, hotels, guesthouses, and
cottages served more than one million 700,000 tourists, both domestic and foreign.
This was facilitated by the opening of new air routes to resort areas, experts
note.
