Passengers of the new
Jibek Joly tourist train will have the opportunity to visit two countries at
once. The five-day cross-border route from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan will be
launched on the eve of the Nauryz holiday and will last from March 20 to 25. Travelers
will visit Almaty, Turkistan, Tashkent, Samarkand, and Taraz. During this time,
they will immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient cities, touch the
spiritual heritage of the Silk Road, and also discover the bright sights of two
Central Asian countries. The unique tour will include various festive events in
the ethno-village and a concert program. For a comfortable experience, tourists
will have access to professional guides, meals, and excursions.
«Firstly, the trailer
cars will depart from Astana. The regular tourist route
will also begin in Almaty on March 20, passing through Turkistan, Tashkent, and
Samarkand before returning. And here is the second difference – there will be a
stop in the city of Taraz. The third difference is the growing demand for
Astana among foreign tourists. We expect this tour to become a brand for all of
Central Asia and hope that the third train will attract visitors from China and
European countries,» noted Daniyel Serzhanuly, Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh
Tourism National Company.
