Kazakhstan will launch its national agricultural census on
August 1, covering about 2 million households and 300,000 agricultural
producers. According to the Bureau of National Statistics, the census will be
conducted in two phases. Until the end of August, it will take place online,
and from September 1 to October 20, interviewers will carry out in-person
household visits. For the convenience of remote participation, self-service
zones will be set up in local administration buildings and territorial
statistics offices. For assistance, citizens can contact the virtual assistant
Sanaq-Myrza on the website sanaq.gov.kz or call the contact center at 1446.
Anonymity is guaranteed. All collected data will be processed and published in
aggregated form — without disclosing any respondent-specific information.
«Upon completion of all stages, preliminary census results
will be published in December 2025. Final aggregated data and analytical
reports will be posted on the Bureau of National Statistics’ website and
presented to the public in 2026. The 2025 National Agricultural Census is a
strategically important initiative for the sustainable development of
Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector and food security. The data collected will
serve as the foundation for effective public policies and support for
agricultural producers at all levels,» said Maksat Turlybayev, Head of the
Kazakh Bureau of National Statistics.
