Kazakhstan aims to foster an eco-culture, which should
become part of modern society, with active promotion planned this year. The main
goal is to improve the environment and engage more citizens in the work.
Education will be a primary focus, led by the Ministry of Culture and
Information. To raise awareness, an Eco-events tab will be added to the E-gov website
and banking apps. In spring, the Taza Like project will bring together public
figures, scientists, and citizens who are not indifferent to nature for experience
and knowledge exchange. The Ayala art festival and the Green School initiative
will be launched as well. The latter expected to involve half a million
schoolchildren and over three million parents and relatives. Cinema and
television will also play a role in promoting eco-culture. Planned projects
include a film about foresters, a series on an eco-activist, the Sayakhat Time
national program, and three animated films. Kazakhstan also plans to
participate in international environmental campaigns with other states,
including a joint initiative with Azerbaijan to clean the Caspian Sea
embankment.
