Kazakhstan to implement 16 infrastructure projects this year

16 major projects worth over 3 trillion tenge are set to be completed in Kazakhstan this year. This was reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev by Samruk Kazyna Chairman Nurlan Zhakupov. Among the key projects are the railway lines Moiynty – Kyzylzhar and Darbaza – Maktaaral, a gas processing plant at the Kashagan field, the modernization of Almaty TPP-2, as well as a fiber-optic communication line along the bed of the Caspian Sea. According to Zhakupov, last year the assets under the Fund’s management amounted to $88 billion. Following the meeting, the Head of State instructed the timely implementation of key investment projects.

«I reported to the Head of State on the results of our work over the past five months and our upcoming plans. All indicators show positive dynamics. In the field of digitalization, a new data center is planned to be launched in the city of Kosshy by the end of the year. It will utilize NVIDIA B300 chips, which will quadruple the capacity of this supercomputer cluster,» Zhakupov said.
