Kazakhstan to conduct pilot census of agriculture

In Kazakhstan, a pilot census of agriculture is set to be carried out from August 20 until the end of September. Currently, the country’s Bureau of National Statistics is undertaking preparatory work, testing information systems and services. According to the press service of the Kazakh Prime Minister, respondents will have the option to independently fill out census forms, either offline or online, on the specialized website sanaq.gov.kz. At the same time, bureau staff in local offices will conduct a sample survey among representatives of households in 54 settlements across the country specially selected for the pilot project. The anticipated budget for the national census of agriculture approaches 5.2 billion tenge.
