Kazakhstan’s national
team in tenge ilu emerged as the overall champions at the fifth World Nomad
Games. Competing in categories such as bes beles, kos kulash, and zheti kut,
the Kazakh athletes secured gold medals in all three styles. This year marked
the first inclusion of tenge ilu in the World Nomad Games sports program,
attracting over 30 athletes from 13 countries.
«We had been eagerly awaiting
the fifth World Nomad Games and are thrilled with the large international
participation. I believe we achieved a commendable result. We faced strong
competitors from the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan who were very well
prepared. We began our training at the start of the year and managed to uphold
Kazakhstan’s honor,» said Bakhyt Toltai, champion of the World Nomad Games in tenge
ilu.
«I am for first time at tenge ilu. And I am glad
to attend these fifth World Nomad Games. I also participate in togyzkumalak. I
am raising eight rounds,» shared Mohammed Rehanuddin, participant of the World
Nomad Games from Bangladesh.
