Kazakhstan’s
paralympians were welcomed with all honors at Astana International Airport.
Relatives and supporters gathered to greet the champions and medalists of the
2024 Paralympic Games. Notably, the national team made a historic achievement with
nine medals, including two gold, three silver, and four bronze.
Para-powerlifting athlete David Degtyarev became the country’s first two-time
Paralympic champion, and Akmaral Nauatbek secured the second gold medal for
Kazakhstan in para judo.
«Of course, I’m happy that I won and now I plan
to rest and focus on my health. Our athlete, David Degtyarev, has become a
two-time champion this time, and I hope I will also have the chance to win gold
again at the next Paralympics. This
is my goal for the future,» Nauatbek shared.
