Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have agreed on cooperation
in the digital sphere. A memorandum of understanding was signed by the relevant
ministries of the two countries in the city of Astana. During a visit to the
office of the Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace
Industry, the heads of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emomali Rakhmon were
presented domestic IT solutions, including platforms facilitating effective
interaction between government agencies and citizens and examples of proactive
document requests. Besides, the Presidents were informed about the progress of
the Digital Family Map project, which includes 100 indicators of social
well-being from 20 databases of central government agencies. The space
monitoring system ensuring transparency of subsoil user companies’ activities
and identifying unused agricultural land was also presented. In addition, cooperation
between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan will provide for training Tajik specialists
in advanced IT schools and research institutes in Kazakhstan.
