Kazakhstan signs $10 billion agreements with IT giants

The Kazakh government has signed a $10 billion package of agreements with global IT companies. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held talks with NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian, as well as Firebird co-founders - CEO Razmig Hovaghimian and Alexander Yesayan. The discussions focused on the development of Kazakhstan’s national AI infrastructure, including the creation of high-performance computing capacity, the establishment of modern data centers, and the attraction of international technology partners. The agreements lay the groundwork for the further implementation of the Data Center Valley project, which envisions a technological base for the deployment of AI, cloud technologies, and next-generation digital services. The first phase of the project is scheduled for implementation in 2027.

«We’ve always been impressed and inspired by Kazakhstan, especially His Excellency the President’s vision of 2026 as the year of AI. So, when we first visited it became very clear and very fast that the ambition of the country, the know-how, the talent here is world-class. You’re building a new capacity for technology; you’re supporting the dreams of technology companies and startups that can start really building things that are cutting edge. It’s a momentous opportunity, launching it in 2027 puts Kazakhstan as one of the top 10 countries in the world,» Hovaghimian said.
