Kazakhstan, Seychelles set to introduce visa-free regime

Kazakhstan and Seychelles are planning to introduce a visa-free regime. The draft agreement between the countries was published by the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Open Legal Acts portal and is available for public discussion until August 28. Thus, holders of valid passports will be able to enter and leave, transit or stay on the territory of the two countries without a visa for no more than 30 calendar days within 180 days. Those wishing to set up a business, get a job, or start studying and therefore stay longer than the specified period will have to obtain a permit. The agreement will contribute to close cooperation between Kazakhstan and Seychelles, providing simplified visa-free travel for holders of all types of passports. It is noteworthy that Kazakhstan ranked 53rd out of 97 countries in the world’s most powerful passports ranking this year. Kazakh citizens are allowed to visit 39 countries without a visa and obtain it on arrival in another 52 countries.
