Kazakhstan is set to extend the moratorium on inspection of small and medium-sized businesses until 2024. The Ministry of National Economy is preparing the corresponding amendments. According to the relevant ministry, the unscheduled inspections can be carried out only in exceptional cases, for example, to eliminate violations that pose a threat to human life and health, or environment. The document has been published on the Open Legal Acts portal and is available for public discussion until November 2. It bears noting that the ban on inspection of commercial facilities has been in effect in the country since January 1, 2020.
