Over 340 billion tenge of investments attracted to Kazakh capital in five months

The main city of Kazakhstan entered to the top three in terms of investment in the country's fixed capital. The capital managed to achieve such indicator in the first five month.  During this period, over 340 billion tenge was attracted to Nur-Sultan, which is almost 8 percent more than over the same period in 2021. At the same time, industry, construction, transport and logistics are among the most demanded by investors.  In general, according to experts, 80 percent of the city's economy is formed through the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

“With regards to foreign direct investment, the volume of foreign direct investment last year amounted to more than US$1 billion, an increase of 68 percent compared to 2020. Speaking about the investment opportunities of the city, our company has developed more than a hundred ready-made investment proposals for potential investors in the form of teasers. These investment proposals offer potential investors the implementation of projects in the manufacturing industry, in particular, with a deep level of processing in the social sector, including, medicine, education, sports,” said Yerbol Kanafin, Deputy Chairperson of the Astana Invest City Center for Investment Development.
