Kazakhstan is experiencing significant growth in tourism
investment. In the first seven months of 2024 alone, the volume of investments in fixed capital exceeded 467
billion tenge, marking nearly a two-fold
increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, businesses in 14 regions of the
country are demonstrating interest in the tourism sector. The top five regions attracting the most investment in tourism are Astana and Almaty metropolises, the Turkistan and North Kazakhstan regions, as well as Shymkent city. Funds are used to create new tourist sites, upgrade existing
infrastructure, and improve service quality. This contributes to enhancing Kazakhstan’s appeal as an
attractive tourist destination globally, experts note.
