Kazakhstan, Russia to increase trade turnover to $30 billion

Kazakhstan and Russia are set to increase their trade turnover to $30 billion. To achieve this, both countries plan to enhance cooperation. Bilateral talks were held in Moscow between Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Trade between the two countries has been growing, reaching nearly $28 billion last year. The agro-industrial complex has shown strong results in bilateral cooperation, while collaboration in the transit and transport sector has also been effective. Cargo flow along the eastern branch of the North-South international corridor has risen to 2.4 million tonnes. The parties emphasized the importance of maintaining positive dynamics in mutual trade. They also discussed joint projects in the energy, space, and industry sectors.
