Kazakhstan has strengthened its position in the global AI rankings. The country ranked 60th out of 195 countries in the Government AI Readiness Index. According to the study by the Oxford Insights international analytical center, the country moved up 16 positions in one year, confirming its status as one of the most digitally advanced countries in the region. The Index evaluates governments’ ability to effectively use AI in public administration, the economy, and societal processes. The Oxford Insights report also highlights Kazakhstan’s political potential and administrative readiness for AI development. According to the relevant ministry, the indicators reflect the country’s active efforts in digitalizing public services, developing e-government, and strengthening digital infrastructure.
