Kazakhstan introduces Regional Standards System

Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today on the implementation of the Regional Standards System in Kazakhstan. The initiative aims to reduce infrastructure disparities between and within regions, while supporting effective planning for the development of settlements. To support this, a Project Office for Regional Policy has been established. President Tokayev was also briefed on the progress of the National Project to modernize the energy and utilities sectors. Domestic manufacturers will be involved in the construction and upgrade of 86,000 kilometers of utility networks. In conclusion, the Head of State issued a series of instructions, emphasizing that balanced regional development is one of the country's key priorities.
