Kazakhstan implements AI in justice sector

Kazakhstan has launched a “Digital Consultant” powered by artificial intelligence (AI), integrated into the “Adilet” and “e-Zan Komegi” systems. This neural network offers citizens guidance on common legal issues, helping reduce the workload on government agencies. Additionally, the Ministry of Justice has initiated a draft law to establish a Unified Digital Platform for collective copyright management. The service will show where and how songs, videos, texts, and other creative works are being used, and will allow users to track payments and receive notifications. The platform is scheduled to be unveiled in 2026. As part of the President’s “Law and Order” initiative, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov reviewed the implementation of digital solutions within the justice system. He emphasized that digitalization and AI integration play a crucial role in enhancing development efficiency across all sectors.

«Digital technologies and artificial intelligence are currently developing at a rapid pace worldwide. Under the direct instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a supercomputer has been introduced in the country. It is the first supercomputer cluster in Central Asia and the most powerful computing solution in the region. Its capabilities will be available to government agencies, research institutes, universities, and businesses. Accordingly, all agencies are expected to intensify their efforts in this direction. The implementation of new digital technologies requires leveraging the supercomputer across all sectors of the national economy,» Bektenov said.
