The first international TurkicSkills championship is taking place in Aktau, the cultural capital of the Turkic world. More than 70 students and young professionals from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Hungary are participating. The competition features 10 skill categories across fields such as engineering, information technology, culinary arts, robotics, services, and more. Teachers will also have the opportunity to improve their skills through training sessions, various seminars, and exhibitions. At one of the exhibitions, Nurai Yelaman, a teacher at the Mangystau College of Tourism, presented his original creation based on the Kazakh dessert – irimshik ice cream. Other culinary specialties were also on display. Winners will be determined this week by 90 experts from various countries.

competitors for practice for the next competitions; and
also WordSkills and EuroSkills is a big family. We are happy these countries
participated in this competition, it is
also part of this family so we can get to know each other, we can have new
friends,» said Zoltan Sisak, expert from Hungary.
