The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan
amounted to $533 million last year, having increased fivefold over the past
five years. The two countries have significant potential. This was discussed at
the fourth meeting of the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Expert Council. Political
scientists, analysts, diplomats, and economists noted the strengthening of
cooperation. The two sides are involved in implementing projects of regional
significance, including the development of the Middle Corridor and green
initiatives. As part of COP29, the two countries, together with Uzbekistan,
signed an agreement to lay a deep-sea cable for the transmission of green
energy. This year, Kazakhstan also became the largest supplier of wheat to Azerbaijan.
In addition, the country is ready to export 130 types of non-resource goods worth
more than $340 million. The countries also cooperate within international
organizations and in the framework of Turkic integration.
