Scientists from
Kazakhstan and Germany are set to conduct joint research in fields such as
agrobiology, medicine, water use, green energy, and social sciences. To this
end, a recently presented research center will start operating in Almaty. The
collaboration primarily aims to support young scientists, exchange best
practices, and find solutions to modern challenges. According to experts, the
center is expected to become a key link in a scientific network that will cover
Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
«The center will oversee research throughout
Central Asia. Climate
change and water resource studies are the two priorities that have already been
identified for the next three years. In October, we will also launch the
Kazakhstan-China Center, with the National Academy of Sciences providing
methodology and the laboratory based at the university,» said Lyazzat
Yeraliyeva, Vice President of Kazakhstan’s National Academy of Sciences.
