Kazakhstan exports flour to U.S. via TITR

Kazakhstan has shipped another batch of wheat flour to the U.S. This time, more than 20 tonnes were sent to New York. The flour was produced in Kostanai at one of the country’s largest milling enterprises and a leading player in Central Asia. The cargo was delivered via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, passing through the ports of Aktau, Alyat, Poti, Istanbul, and then across the Atlantic Ocean. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, demand for Kazakh flour abroad continues to grow, confirming the steady interest of international markets in the country’s products.

«Agricultural exports reached $7 billion by the end of 2025. The main export categories are, of course, grain and flour. Shipments have been recorded across all directions, including markets such as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. In addition, thanks to state support and subsidies for transportation costs, exports to neighboring markets are expanding. For the first time, Kazakh wheat has been delivered to countries such as Vietnam, Morocco, Algeria, and the UAE. Moreover, supplies to markets such as Georgia and Azerbaijan have been resumed,» noted Sayat Kamzin, Head of the Department, Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.

Last year, 50 tonnes of Kazakh wheat flour were exported to the U.S. The product was sold on major online platforms such as Amazon and Walmart, and was also used by American bakeries. In addition, negotiations are underway to supply domestically produced flour to restaurants, coffee shops, and local food chains. The possibility of entering major U.S. retail chains is also under consideration.
