Kazakhstan allocates record 580 billion tenge for harvesting

Kazakhstan will begin its mass harvesting campaign in the third ten-day period of August, following government discussions on preparation. This year, a record 580 billion tenge has been allocated for spring fieldwork, as instructed by the Head of State. The amount for leasing agricultural machinery has been increased fivefold, and the relevant department has confirmed its readiness for the season. The campaign will involve around 150,000 tractors, 38,000 grain harvesters, and 14,000 reapers. Over 64,000 tons of subsidized diesel fuel have been distributed to farmers for autumn fieldwork. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of closely monitoring the harvesting campaign and ensuring the sale of domestic products, particularly in priority export markets. Efforts will be intensified to work with partners from China, the Middle East, Africa, and other countries. Notably, Kazakhstan’s total agricultural area exceeds 23 million hectares, with approximately 17 million hectares dedicated to grain crops.
