Kazakhstan takes the first place among the CIS countries for the development of the “electronic government” system, said Chairwoman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs Anar Zhailganova. According to her, the ranking of the United Nations’ E-government Development Index assessed the work of electronic platforms for providing public services of 193 countries. Kazakhstan ranked 29th. The speaker noted that to date, 94.4 percent of public services were transferred to electronic format, wherein the most popular are vehicle registration, issuing identity documents, drivers licenses and registration of citizens by place of residence.
