Investments in the
Kazakh capital continue to grow. Over the past three years, the total volume of
investments in Astana has exceeded 3.5 trillion tenge. In the first nine months
of 2023 alone, the figures reached a record 960 billion tenge, marking a 105
percent increase compared to 2022. There is also a positive trend in attracting
foreign investments. Since the beginning of the year, their share has increased
by nearly 80 percent to $794 million. Overall, more than $4 billion has been
invested over the past three years. It bears noting that Astana ranks second in
investment in the non-oil sector of the economy and third in investment in
fixed capital. The primary sectors attracting business investments are
logistics and construction industries. In general, the Kazakh capital maintains
a favorable investment climate for capital inflow. The Astana Development
Center provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs on a one-window basis.
“Since March of
this year, the Astana Development Center has been designated by the local
administration as a regional organization in the field of investment
attraction. The main functions of our center include supporting investment
projects during their implementation and facilitating interaction between
investors and government agencies. We offer guidance on state support measures
and assist investors in obtaining permits. The portfolio of our companies
includes 170 investment projects totaling 1.7 trillion tenge,” said Yerlan
Yerzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Astana Development Center.
