Kazakh entrepreneurs are ready to increase exports to Belarus across 105 product categories, totaling nearly $265 million, as announced by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov during a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. Bektenov arrived in Minsk to participate in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council’s meeting. The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in trade and economic sector, industry, agriculture, digitalization, as well as cultural and humanitarian sphere. It is noteworthy that trade between Kazakhstan and Belarus reached $912 million last year. Kazakh Prime Minister also visited the Belagro 2024 International Exhibition and addressed the plenary session «Food Security of the Eurasian Economic Union», attended by heads of governments from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, and the Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board.

«To date, Kazakhstan ranks among the top 25 global food exporters. Our agricultural products are supplied to 80 states, including Central Asian and EAEU countries. Agricultural exports have doubled over the past five years, reaching $5.4 billion. We intend to further increase these figures. In the face of growing food shortages, our country aims to double agricultural exports by 2026,» Bektenov said.
