Kazakhstan aims to boost trade with Slovenia

Kazakhstan intends to increase trade turnover with Slovenia. Last year, it exceeded $105 million, with exports surpassing $5 million. Kazakhstan supplies construction materials, food products, and grain, while Slovenia exports pharmaceuticals, fittings, and engines. Regarding investments, $200 million has been directed to Kazakhstan. According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, there is significant potential in logistics as well. Kazakhstan is establishing transport hubs in Eastern Europe and launching new air routes. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also discussed this during his meeting with the President of Slovenia.

«In the near future, SCAT will open a flight to Budapest. This year, we will also launch a direct flight from Shymkent to Belgrade. Previously, we flew via Kyiv and Minsk; now we fly via Warsaw and Istanbul. Regarding transit, the Kazakh Ministry of Transport is undertaking significant work. There are permits in place to address this issue or to allow unrestricted passage for our vehicles, as there is a corridor through Turkmenistan, Iran, and Türkiye,» said Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.
