Kazakh startup attracts $250,000 for development

Kazakh startup of mobile medical diagnostics attracted a quarter of $1 million of foreign investment. An Arab fund invested in the development of a young healthcare IT company. The funds are planned to be used for expanding the technological capabilities of the project. Besides, the capital investments will enable tapping into new markets and accelerating the process of fully penetrating the domestic one, according to startup representatives. It bears noting that residents of Astana and Almaty can use the company services and thus undergo medical check-ups without leaving home. There are plans to introduce such a service in other cities as well. The startup has been operating in the Kazakh market since 2022. In general, over 10,000 analyses have been carried out at home since then. The young team aims to cover 15 percent of the mobile diagnostics market.

“We are definitely planning to develop our startup in Kazakhstan in the coming year, as I have already said, our goal is to strengthen the technical part of the project as well as to focus on mobile diagnostics. We want to make it easier for people to take medical tests and monitor their health, we do on-site check-ups and provide a limited set of medical tests. Kazakhstan’s market is our main objective, but since we are a startup, we are interested in studying international markets as well, including the UK and the UAE,” said Tota Smatova, the founder and CEO of a mobile medical diagnostics startup.
