Kazakhstan allocates 20.5 billion tenge for holding snap presidential election

The Kazakh Ministry of Finance reported on the distribution of the funds allocated for holding extraordinary presidential elections. A total of 20.5 billion tenge is provided for these purposes. Most of the funds, which is approximately 17 billion tenge, will be directed to pay the polling station staff.

“The amount of 20.5 billion tenge will be allocated for the preparation of ballot sheets, communications, and transport. The money will be earmarked to finance mainly the Central Election Commission, and part of it, as far as I know, will be allocated to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. The government decree is supposed to be adopted in a few days,” said Kazakh Vice Minister of Finance Yerzhan Birzhanov.
