Kazakhstan, UK intend to develop cooperation

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom is growing. Last year, the figure increased by 60 percent to $1.8 billion. The UK is the seventh-largest investor in Kazakhstan’s economy, as stated today by the country’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev while welcoming the UK Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade Nusrat Ghani. The Head of State also emphasized that both Astana and London are interested in expanding trade and investment relations. For her part, Ghani noted that the UK attaches particular importance to the development of bilateral cooperation.
