Kazakh schoolgirls to present project in Silicon Valley

Kazakh school students will participate in the Technovation Girls 2024 in the US’s Silicon Valley. Eight-year-olds Aisha Yesset and Eva Zhurkina have created a mobile application based on artificial intelligence that assists children with cochlear implants in developing speech and hearing. Now, the schoolgirls will present their invention in the competition’s final, where teenagers from 70 countries will participate.

«We chose this field because we have a friend named Ailin. She was born hearing-impaired, and at the age of two or three, she underwent surgery on both ears to install cochlear implants. Ailin is now seven years old,» said Aisha Yesset, finalist in the Technovation Girls 2024 competition.

«Our application can help children in Kazakhstan in the future. We also plan to launch it in Russian and Kazakh languages,» Eva Zhurkina, finalist in the Technovation Girls 2024 competition, said.
