Kazakh rescue teams persist in assisting quake-hit Afghanistan

Kazakh rescuers continue to help in eliminating the consequences of the earthquake in Afghanistan. The team examined destroyed houses in three settlements of the country. Thus, they have surveyed over 400 sites and cleared debris from 200 buildings in the Naib Rafi village. They also fully inspected the devastated Siyakhan settlement together with their Afghan counterparts. The ruins in the Cholk area were cleared as well. The Kazakh Emergencies Ministry group moved to Herat, where aftershocks have recently become more frequent. In general, the rescuers provided medical assistance to 80 local residents, including children.
