President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s working visit to the
Akmola region continued with visits to several social and sports facilities in Shchuchinsk.
The Head of State toured an eco-park, which offers excellent facilities for
recreation and sports. During the visit, he listened to traditional musical
pieces performed by local young dombyra players rehearsing ahead of National
Dombyra Day.
The President then visited the modern Burabay Arena
sports complex, where he toured the table tennis hall, swimming pool, and
fitness facilities. The complex offers training in six sports. President
Tokayev was also briefed on the development of sports and tourism in the
region. He then met with prominent athletes from the Akmola region, who thanked
him for his support for sports in Kazakhstan.
