Governor of the National Bank of
Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov presented a report on the outcomes of monetary
policy implementation to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Suleimenov informed
on the slowdown in annual inflation and the persistent pro-inflationary factors
within the economy. He also provided updates on the status of assets in the
Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) and the country’s gold and foreign
exchange reserves. Additionally, the National Bank Governor discussed the
progress of projects aimed at developing the National Payment System, implementing
open banking principles, and establishing an Anti-Fraud Center to protect
Kazakh citizens’ funds from fraudsters.
