percent of sown areas in Kazakhstan have been harvested, with over 25 million
tonnes of grain threshed. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on
the results of the agricultural sector’s development. Minister of Agriculture
Aidarbek Saparov reported that farmers are set to harvest a record 1.2 million
tonnes of sugar beet, along with a good yield of fodder crops. Milk and meat
production has also increased by more than four percent each. The geography of
sales markets is expanding as well. Plans for 2025 were also presented to the
Head of State. At the conclusion of the meeting, President Tokayev set a number
of tasks for the Minister on the further development of the agro-industrial
complex and ensuring food security.
