Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of
Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov, who briefed him on the crime situation in the
country. Since the beginning of the year, crime rates have decreased , with the
number of criminal offences declining by 5,500 and crimes by 10,000. The Law
and Order principle is being actively implemented, with measures to ensure zero
tolerance for offences, combat organized, cyber, and drug-related crimes, and
strengthen road safety. Following the meeting, the Head of State gave
instructions on further enhancing law and order and public safety in the
country.
