Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the panel discussion titled «Mapping Tomorrow, Managing
Uncertainties»
at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Tokayev shared his vision of the key trends and
challenges facing the global community this year, which are shaping the
international agenda. The Head of State emphasized that regional conflicts
today extend far beyond specific territories and have become global. While the
United Nations remains an indispensable universal organization on the
international stage, he noted the need for its fundamental reform, moving away
from outdated frameworks. As Tokayev stressed, the key element in this process
is the Security Council. The President presented his vision for the future of
the UN and other international institutions. He particularly highlighted the
crucial role of preventive diplomacy, calling for mechanisms to forecast conflicts.
Furthermore, Tokayev shared his assessment of developments in the Middle East,
stating that efforts should be focused on the core issues of the negotiation
process.
