During the state visit to
Azerbaijan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev honored the memory of
Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev and his spouse Zarifa Aliyeva and
laid flowers at their graves. Following this tribute, the Head of State
participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame Memorial on the
Martyrs’ Lane, located in Highland Park in Baku. Here lie the heroic Azerbaijanis
who sacrificed their lives in the name of freedom, independence, and the
country’s territorial integrity.
