In Shymkent, the national team in
assyk atu is intensively preparing for the fifth World Nomad Games. The
participants have worked out their game strategy and even have different types
of assyks. The Molzhigitov brothers, Nurkissa, Nurzhigit, and Nurkanat, are
masters of their craft. Great hopes are placed on these athletes. Notably,
there are various types of the game, including taike, buk, shik, alshy, and
others. According to the athletes, the main thing is not victory but the
opportunity to demonstrate to the world the importance of preserving traditions
and culture in the modern world and developing national sports.
«Every nation has its own national sports. For
example, the Japanese have judo, the Chinese have table tennis, while assyk atu
and Kazakh kuresi are our national sports. We hope to achieve excellent results
and win the gold,» said Nurkanat Molzhigitov, member of the national team in
assyk atu.
«The training camps were held four times. The
final training session will take place in Astana on August 27. Our results are
quite good. We will make every effort and fight for first place,» said
Nurzhigit Molzhigitov, member of the national team in assyk atu.
Notably, the fifth World Nomad Games will
feature more than 20 national sports, with athletes from Shymkent participating
in six of them.
