On the second day of his state
visit to Azerbaijan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in the city
of Fuzuli. There, he and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev were briefed on the
city’s development master plan. They were informed about the measures being
taken to restore Fuzuli and its surrounding areas. The heads of state were
presented with the new vision for the city, including sketches and plans for
the future administrative center, urban park, and other key facilities.
Following this, they attended the grand opening ceremony of the Kurmangazy
Children’s Creativity Center. The choice to name the center after the renowned
Kazakh composer reflects the recognition of his remarkable compositions as a
heritage of the entire Turkic world. This modern innovation center, a
humanitarian gift from the Kazakh people to the fraternal people of Azerbaijan,
was swiftly built at the initiative of President Tokayev.
“On behalf of all Kazakh people,
the BI Group construction holding warmly presents this gift, built upon my
instruction. I believe that this facility will certainly contribute to
strengthening the multifaceted ties between our countries. I wish you success and
prosperity. There is no doubt that this sacred region of Azerbaijan will undergo significant development,” Tokayev said.
On his part, the President of
Azerbaijan extended his gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the entire
people of Kazakhstan. The leaders of the two countries toured the Children’s
Creativity Center, where all necessary conditions for the extracurricular
education of 600 children in several shifts have been created. The center
includes a lecture hall, chess and culinary classrooms, an art and sculpture
studio, choreography and sports halls, and more. Special attention will be
given to IT startups and the national culture of Azerbaijan, including the art
of carpet weaving. President Tokayev presented the center’s team with a copy of
Kurmangazy’s dombyra and a bus for transporting the students of the educational
complex.
Afterward, the presidents of
Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan inspected the construction site of the Fuzuli Central
Hospital. The future medical facility is designed to accommodate 180 beds,
spanning an area exceeding 34,000 square meters. The hospital will have
inpatient care departments including cardiology, neurology, hemodialysis,
therapy, surgery, maternity, and others. Furthermore, outpatient services will
feature a pediatric clinic, departments of functional diagnostics, and a
hygiene and epidemiology center.
