At
a Security Council meeting chaired by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the
draft National Security Strategy of
Kazakhstan for 2026–2030 was reviewed. The document
is intended to become one of the key components of the state planning system,
outlining approaches to counter the challenges anticipated over the next five
years. The strategy is also designed to safeguard constitutional principles
while creating conditions for the country’s stable development. The
Head of State emphasized that the adoption of the new Basic Law marks a new stage in
the development of statehood, ensuring reliable protection of Kazakhstan’s
independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He highlighted the
importance of effectively implementing measures to protect national
interests, ensure
defense capabilities, and improve
the safety of citizens, the environment, and the information space. In addition, the
President instructed to accelerate the development of a program aimed at
attracting qualified foreign specialists to the country in high-demand sectors
of the economy, technology, and education. The meeting also reviewed the
results of the current Strategy implementation.
