Kazakh President briefed on Astana development

Investment volumes in Astana are increasing. In the first nine months of 2024, the figure grew by 16 percent compared to last year, reaching 1.14 trillion tenge. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Astana mayor Zhenis Kassymbek who reported on the socio-economic and infrastructure development of the capital. The Head of State was also briefed on the progress of the heating season. Astana currently has a heat surplus thanks to the launch of the South-East gas heating station last year, along with the first phases of the CHP-3 and Turan station. The second stage of the Turan station is set to be commissioned by yearend. Additionally, construction on the Telman station and the design of a similar facility, the South-West station, have commenced. President Tokayev gave a number of instructions for further modernization of the capital's infrastructure.
