Investment volumes in Astana are increasing.
In the first nine months of 2024, the figure grew by 16 percent compared to
last year, reaching 1.14 trillion tenge. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
received Astana mayor Zhenis Kassymbek who reported on the socio-economic and infrastructure
development of the capital. The Head of State was also briefed on the progress of
the heating season. Astana currently has a heat surplus thanks to the launch of
the South-East gas heating station last year, along with the first phases of the CHP-3
and Turan station. The second stage of the Turan station is set to be commissioned
by yearend. Additionally, construction on the Telman station and
the design of a similar facility, the South-West station, have commenced. President
Tokayev gave a number of instructions for further modernization of the
capital's infrastructure.
