Kazakh Armed Forces hold over 1,000 combat training events in 2023

The Kazakh Defense Ministry summed up the work for 2023. According to the ministry, domestic servicemen participated in 24 exercises and competitions in other countries, demonstrating a high level of tactical and special training. Military exercises were held in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Belarus. It should be noted that six international military exercises were organized in Kazakhstan over the past year, with airborne assault troops, as well as air and naval forces involved. Moreover, the strategic command post exercise ‘Batyl Toitarys-2023’ took place under the leadership and personal supervision of Kazakh President – Supreme Commander-in-Chief Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Overall, the country’s Armed Forces conducted over 1,000 combat training activities in the outgoing year. All of them were aimed at improving the field skills, efficiency, and coordination of actions of all military units.
