Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
spoke at the Zhana Adamdar (New People) youth forum. This organization unites
about 15,000 young activists across 19 cities who organize dozens of
initiatives throughout the country, all of which aim to tackle social issues. Young
activists believe that Kazakhstan can only progress if they do not remain
indifferent – a sentiment echoed by the Head of State. Tokayev expressed pride
in Kazakh youth and confidence in the country’s future, believing it lies in
the hands of its intellectual, educated, and contemporary young citizens.
«Listening to your speeches and
experiencing the atmosphere of the forum, I feel immense pride in our youth and
confidence in Kazakhstan’s future. The country must become the most advanced
and civilized state. In every civilized country, the tradition of respecting
elders and national customs prevails, and we must also set an example in this
regard. I thank you for supporting our strategy. Your banners reflect the very
essence of our reforms, which are based on the concept of building a Just
Kazakhstan and ensuring Law and Order,» Tokayev noted.
Responsible, determined, and passionate young
people are those who can serve the country with dedication, representing a
significant support and a reserve for the future. Tokayev emphasized that the
state сreates favorable conditions and opportunities for young Kazakh citizens.
Programs such as the National Fund for Children, Keleshek (Future), and
Bolashak (Future) are currently in operation, also, the Presidential Youth Personnel
Reserve project is yielding positive results. Special quotas for young people
in elections to the Mazhilis, the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament, and
maslikhats have been introduced, alongside preferential lending programs for
business development. And that’s not all. There is also great hope for creative
youth.
«Thanks to the achievements of our citizens
in this field, Kazakhstan is increasingly recognized as a country of talented
and hardworking people. I have made the development of civilization and
artificial intelligence one of the top priorities for our country’s growth.
This is where we must achieve significant success. I believe that, with your
efforts, we will accomplish this. The state will actively support the
development of the creative industry. A special fund is being established to
provide systematic support for projects in literature, music, cinema, TV
series, and video games. For young people, this will serve as another powerful
resource for self-realization,» the President said.
Summing up, Tokayev noted that working for
the state’s prosperity is the duty of every citizen. A Just Kazakhstan will be
built with unity and the inexhaustible energy of its youth.
